Highlights of your career Accepted speaker at the RSA conference, co-designer of our in-house ML systems, member of several international botnet eradication working groups (e.g. Dorkbot, Gamarue, 3ve).

Position and history of ESET My current position is a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead. At ESET, I started my career as a malware analyst back in 2013, and then switched to a software engineering role. Since 2019, I have been leading a team responsible for automated threat detection and application of artificial intelligence in threat hunting.

What malware do you hate the most? Scareware and ransomware.

Favorite activities Cooking, gardening, home automation projects and computer games.

Golden rule for cyberspace First of all, use your brain. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

When did you get your first computer and what kind was it? My first memory of a computer that comes to mind is at maybe 10 year old, when I was starting to learn to code in Visual Basic under Windows 98 and was ecstatic about creating and showing message boxes.

Favorite computer game/activity Tinkering around any and all aspects of technology. Out of all computer games I like, Factorio is probably the favorite one.
