Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre has arrested 49 suspects in a joint international operation targeting the takedown of a major cybercrime ring.
The Ramnit botnet that is said to have affected 3.2 million computers has been shut down by European police.
According to the EU’s law enforcement agency Europol a complex ransomware network has been shut down. The operation to close the network was headed by Spanish police in cooperation with the agency.
