Update (April 27th): ESET/WeLiveSecurity was contacted by Mr. Adil Ziani earlier this month. We have since replied and are awaiting his response. Any further updates will appear here.

A French-Moroccan national was jailed by a Dublin court after being found guilty of hacking into the business accounts of an online betting company, according to the Irish Independent.

The hacked accounts belonged to a number of well-known French people and the criminal hacker, Adil Ziani, 38, was working for Hewlett Packard in Dublin when he is said to have accessed the accounts. He admitted changing passwords and redirecting emails.

The court was told that the information could have caused the French nationals distress had Zian made it public. He was sentenced to two years in prison with one year suspended.
